Prayers For Peyton

On Friday, July 24, my 6 year old son, Peyton, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The news was earth shattering. I spent July in and out of a Doctors office’s and ERs trying to find out why my goofy, funny, playful and sweet son was suddenly having headaches and feeling tired just to be told, “he’s ok, it’s just allergies” and “he’s probably not drinking enough water, it’s summer.” I asked for testing but the Doctors told me, “there’s nothing wrong, there’s absolutely nothing the blood will tell me and drawing blood will just upset him unnecessarily. You don’t want to do that to him!” I truly felt there was something else causing his pain so I decided to pursue allergy testing and an MRI and to see a different Doctor in Ohio. Thank God I did. She sent him for bloodwork and we were admitted that night facing a parent’s worst nightmare. So many amazing people have reached out asking, “how can I help you?” Prayers and positive energy sent to Peyton and our family are the most important. I feel that God will heal him and I need your help and support. But we now also have a 3.5 year road of Chemotherapy and hospitalizations ahead of us. Special cleaning and sterilization, medical supplies, travel, healthy healing food, homeschooling and childcare are now of the utmost importance to keep him alive and well.
