Surgery for Lyla Blue
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
If you know anything about me or Camille, you probably know that we're obsessed with our little pup, Lyla Blue. We may have forced you to follow her Instagram, or bombarded you with pictures and videos of her doing anything and everything because we can't handle the cuteness alone.
Unfortunately times have been tough for our poor girl. Recently Lyla tore her CCL (ACL in humans). Her rear-right leg can no longer support her, so she's resorted to walking on three legs. She is mostly in good spirits, but it pains us to see her struggling as she is. After mandatory rest and minimal walking, it is clear she needs surgery if we hope to have her back to her normal, spry self.
She is scheduled for a lateral suture surgery this week where they will basically replicate the functionality of the original ligament using a monofilament. Following this procedure she will have a 4-6 month recovery period. Luckily this surgery has a high success rate for dogs of her size so we're hopeful she'll be up to her old tricks again soon.
Any assistance covering the cost of Lyla's surgery is truly appreciated. Thank you for your help and consideration.
