Abeni's Second Year Tuition Fund- Pepperdine
Donation protected
Only 6% of doctoral recipients are African-American. Two years ago I was completing my dissertation research with my chair at Argosy University. In mid February, I received the disheartening email that the school was officially being closed. All of my course work has lost accreditation and I was instructed that I would have to begin the doctoral process over again. I got into Pepperdine's Educational Leadership Administration and Policy program last year and have excelled in a program that has helped me grow and focus on policy related to my life's work, creating systems of care for youth experiencing homelessness. My biggest obstacle is paying for school. I started the ardous task of having my loans at Argosy canceled in 2018. Since then, Betsy DeVos and her cronies have tried to build every roadblock possible to approve my Closed School Loans application (I've currently submitted my 4th appeal). This means, I am paying for school out of pocket. I have solidified three scholarships for this academic year (my second year in the program), but still have a $34,000 gap for tuition. I need as much help as possible to make this feat achievable. If you feel more comfortable donating directly to my school account, please let know and I will send you the information.
