Help Marissa beat Cancer!

Donation protected
I am writing on behalf of my family for Marissa Srdarev.  Marissa is currently undergoing treatment in the United States for stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes.

In 2015, Marissa was initially diagnosed at age 20 with Stage 3 colon cancer.  There was no logical reason for this happening and she is one of the youngest persons in Canada (if not the only one) to have this type of cancer at her age.  She quickly underwent major surgery and then was directed to begin chemotherapy which lasted 6 months.  She did not tolerate chemotherapy well (as it kills not only cancer but good cells in your body) and it was taking her a very long time to recover.  Just as Marissa was beginning to feel like herself again and no longer suffering the many side effects of chemotherapy as strongly, we got the news in a check-up that the cancer was back one year later and is now Stage 4 cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes.  The option available for us here in Canada was 6 months on chemotherapy and 6 months off chemotherapy for the rest of her life with no hope of a cure.  They actually told us the cancer would eventually end her life.  Already knowing that chemotherapy didn’t stop the cancer the first time, and knowing how badly chemotherapy damaged her body and affected her, we knew this wasn’t an option.

Not being able to accept this, we all continued to pray for guidance and through our Church, we found someone from Canada who also had cancer and went to a clinic in Arizona for treatment.  We did some research and my Mom and Marissa flew down to do an initial assessment.  We discovered that this is one of the top clinics for treating late stage cancer patients and they use the latest cancer treatments available!  After many different tests and having them sent around the world to be analyzed by some of the top analysis centers, we got the news – they could help Marissa!  Among their findings, they found signals in her body that were supposed to fight the cancer were “turned off” (which they could “turn on”) and toxins in her body that could be drained to encourage her body to fight the cancer.  They had methods to help us beat the cancer!

As we learned from the clinic that cancer is unique to the individual, they devised a personalized treatment plan that would have the most positive effect for Marissa!  They would detox her body, use targeted chemotherapy and radiation to only affect the cancer spots with minimal side effects, and help her body to fight it off naturally as well as using modern medicines.  Nothing like this is available in Canada as the clinic in Arizona is able to use natural medicine with conventional medicine (both proven to help eliminate cancer).  They even told us of a lady who had cancer similar to Marissa (even worse) and 18 years later the cancer has not returned (she actually got to meet her in person)!

All this greatly encouraged us and we moved forward with the treatment.  Marissa and my Mom have been in Arizona since July 2018 as we wanted to start treatment as soon as possible.  One of the needs we have now is financial.  None of the treatments Marissa is receiving is covered by insurance.  All the bills are also in US dollars.  This is literally saving Marissa’s life.  In Canada, they gave us no hope.  In Arizona, she not only has the chance at life, but we are seeing the results as she continues treatment.  We are trying to raise $156,000 to help cover medical costs, flights back and forth from Arizona for follow-ups, and cost of living in Arizona as our home is in Ontario, Canada.  We greatly appreciate all those willing to give to help us offset these costs.  Please pray for all of us as anyone who has gone through cancer or has a loved one going through cancer knows the hardships and roller coasters of emotions you face on a daily basis.  Thank you and may God bless you!
