Debbie Thrall's Memory Fund

Donation protected
This is a fund for my mom, Debbie Thrall. It's been 8 years since she was diagnoised with early onset Alzheimers which has ended up being frontal lobe dementia. It's been a long and short 8 years. The thing with this disease is it's like a race you're running when you already know the outcome, but you keep running it anyway. You fall or hit a hurdle and you loose something; the ability to remember your birthday, then the ability to drive, speak, stand, but we all keep running. We've been running this race with mom and we will keep going.

As you can imagine it can get pretty sad at times and it can sit like a blanket on everything. So we do what mom would want and fold the blanket "nicely," label it "sad blanket" and put it in the linen closet for the time we might put it on again.  Then we close that door and drink margarittas and eat chocolate.

Mom is in the final stages of the disease but I'm not asking you for help with the purchase of margarittas and chocolate. She has a window in her room that I want to keep flowers in for the long haul, something bright and sunny that she can look at from her bed. I have started with some sunflowers and with the help of her caregivers will keep them in the window.

Thanks to everyone who's been apart of helping mom and who have been apart of her awesome, margaritta and chocolate-filled life.
