Remi is a sweet, lovable 7 week old Great Dane/Lab mix who came to us from a sad situation in Ohio. Her prior owners neglectfully tried to fix a broken leg with a Popsicle stick and tape, with a backup plan of putting her down by shooting her if it didn’t heal. Always Hope was contacted by Animal Control who knew that our rescue could nurse her back to health and find her a great forever home.
When she arrived at Always Hope, her broken leg had abscessed, and she was quickly given the medical attention she'd been lacking. Despite the abscess, an immobilized leg, daily laser treatment, bandage changes, and surgery for other injuries, Remi's lovable personality has shined through.
Unfortunately, Remi's medical bills have been higher than anticipated (totaling over $1500), and Always Hope is in the rare position of asking for contributions to assist with her recovery.
