In Loving Memory of Myrna R. Abing

In loving memory of Myrna Reyes Abing

It is with a heavy heart that were sharing the loss of a loving mother, sister ,beloved wife, grandmother, friend and over all outstanding human being, Myrna R. Abing

As I reach out to friends and family thru social media. I have decided to share her story. My mother to the outside world may have seemed to be a stern woman with a firm hand when it came to her life. But her outside visual perception would scare anyone, however her true halo was inside. She would stand beside and lecture you than bring you ice cream to cheer you up at the same time.

In 2000, she was cursed with breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy and years of chemo therapy. During her fight with cancer she was left wheel chair bond, deteriorating heart, asthma, countless medications, the loss of her job and home.

Her finances depleted during her struggles to live a normal life with cancer, but she manage to provide a smiling face and warm heart to the world. During her last days of life, while on her normal stroll at Redondo Beach my mother had a massive heart attack. As she struggled to call me gasping for air I could hear in the voice message, that I saved, “Elaine mommy is having a heart attack help me”. The paramedics performed CPR on her at the beach and was transported to Little Company of Mary.

Three days later, five code blues, 6 hours of constant seizures, and several fractured ribs my mother finally took her last breath on May 3, 2016 at 7pm.

My mother did her best to prepare for her final resting place but fell short to ensure it was completed.

I am reaching out to family, friends, and to anyone who has gone thru my current struggles to provide a proper resting place for a mother who gave her everything regardless of her own situation for a small donation to help with funeral arrangements.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, support and kind words, and for  taking the time to read my mother’s story.
