Hi, everyone
My name is Josh Tafoya and I am from Taos New Mexico, but I'm currently living in New York city in my final year studying Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design.
Since this is my final year, I am working on my senior thesis collection.
My collection is a fusion of art and design and is inspired by the cholo/ chola subculture and its relation in modern culture.
This collection will consist of seven looks that will demonstrate my design aesthetic, artisan-ship, and craftsmanship. I will then be presenting it in front of a panel of industry professionals, who will judge the collection along with others for a nomination of designer of the year award, and a chance to show in the senior fashion show.
In order for me to finish I am asking for friends and family to help fund my collection.
I would like to raise $5,000 to help with the cost of creating my collection.
$1000 will be going to getting my fabrics printing on
$3000 on purchasing leather
$1000 to help pay for fabrics, beads, and other expenses.
I would Greatly appreciate your help, in helping me achieve my vision for this collection even if its the littlest of donations.
