I need to share her story.
In 2019 Wendy had to get her breast examined and was told that they see something but can't make it out because of thick tissue and to come back and we can keep an eye on it, as the months past we all had a unexpected visitor named Covid19. When it was getting close to her appointment to see how things are going we noticed that the pea size lump was growing to size of golf ball within months we started to call to make a urgent appointment but could not get in touch with anyone. COVID19 LOCK DOWN. A few months we noticed a perfect red ring on her left breast I called to set up appointment no answer she calls no answer. I was in panic I had to do something for her we need answers So because I'm disabled and have PTSD I called my mental health therapist and was able to see her at the same location to see our primary Doctor for a referral to get another breast exam. They told her this time to see a specialists to get a biopsy because Now They Clearly See Something.
On June 24th 2020 she goes to see the doctor that did the biopsy and was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Why this day is most sadden for Wendy and I well its because it was on her birthday.... Some gift.. right.... What bothered us was that when Wendy went the 1st time she was never referred to get a deep MRI and if the breast Examiner just would of been more focused on human life instead of just another cash pay out I'm pretty sure we would not be in this situation that we are dealing with.. Wendy has had completed her 1st stage chemo treatment therapy. Her and I have noticed that during this treatment her body was shutting down. She lost tons of body weight not the healthy way she had gotten a swollen spleen and liver her esophagus was giving her major problems to the point to almost having to be fed by a feeding tube. She was days away from being in a wheelchair and having to get a blood transfusion.
I have put all my focus on her. Nothing else mattered to me but to keep her from shutting down. Wendy told me that with all the struggles and pain emotional and physical and becoming depressed and now have PTSD she said she rather be dead instead of suffering. I can only do as much as I can to help financially because Im permanently disabled and I have PTSD due to 9/11 and other past issues and I only make just enough to help with some bills. And due to her having breast cancer she is very vulnerable to catching any virus and was told that she can't work at all. She is immuno suppressed and having to deal with COVID 19 during all this is really hitting hard she needed help so she filed for
PUA (Pandemic Unemployment Assistance ) and has not yet seen anything from them and she filed since she found out she has cancer back in June. Her surgery is coming up on November 18th and her insurance only covers what they can and the cost is very over whelming and it's been really hard to get her the right super foods to eat. She needs to eat Organic and Juice all raw veggies.
Many people have helped in other ways and we are very greatful for that. I truly feel bad that I cant help her the way she needs.
She completely understands and always says we have eachother thats all she needs and wants. Please help and be part of TeamWendyWendyStrong Thank you all for your time and to all have many blessed days ahead. God BLESS.
