Luke's BFF Azaria's Ear Surgery

The second graders at Our Lady of Perpetual Help school in New Albany, IN were encouraged to find unique ways to raise money for their classmate Azaria Taylor, who will be undergoing surgery this summer to fix a birth defect. Azaria was born without an ear and she will be traveling to Idaho with her Mom for reconstructive surgery.
Since Azaria and Luke are best friends, Luke wanted to do whatever he could to raise the most money to take care of his friend. We brainstormed ideas of how to spread the word, and when I shared with him the concept of a GoFundMe account, he asked if I would set it up for him. I agreed. The following letter is from Luke.
Dear everyone,
My friend Azaria is going to have surgery on her ear. She will be traveling very far away and I want to make sure she has enough money while she is gone. If you can help me by donating to her, I thank you. She is one of the nicest girls you would ever meet and I am really worried about her. Please help. Thank you.
