Basement Disaster

This “go fund me” page was created for Jillian and Doris, by their best friend, Kris and daughter, Kylie.
It has been a struggle to watch these two amazing women go through such heartache. They have been together for almost 9 years and want more than anything to expand their family, but so far, they have not been successful. Jillian has had the extreme pleasure of helping to raise her step-children, but has always wanted to experience pregnancy and see her genetics passed on to her own biological child. From our perspective we would benefit from this as well, as an “auntie memaw” and “big sister”.
There are no known fertility issues, except lack of sperm. However, they have spent thousands of dollars already on several unsuccessful IUI’s and have decided to move on to IVF, where their chances will increase from 20% to 60%. IVF is extremely expensive. Single cycle IVF starting cost is $18,000.00 They have decided to go with a program offered that is called Shared Risk, which includes 6 IVF cycles and has a starting cost of $22,000.00, these prices do not include the fertility medication …and their insurance covers none of it! Their total starting price including all costs will be $34,000.00!!!
Jillian and Doris are hardworking, loyal, caring and compassionate, and we cannot think of two more deserving people! With the continuous hits to their bank account, we know that they cannot do this on their own. But they are too proud to ask for help.
Since they are too proud to ask for money, We Will!! Our goal for them is $28,000.00. It doesn’t encompass all the costs that they will incur, but it would be absolutely amazing to reach this or to at least achieve some of it to help them.
