Thomas' bike against domestic abuse

My mom was physically abused for a long time and eventually killed by her fiancé. I have wanted to do a solo bike trip from Seattle to San Diego since I was a kid, just for fun. Now I want it to be more than that. In remembrance of my mom and for abused women everywhere, I want this trip (June 13-July 13) and my hardships during it to be supportive of the fight against domestic violence specifically against women. The proceeds (x cents/mile, with the total trip being 1600 miles roughly) go directly to the Avon Foundation, an organization for women, victims of domestic abuse or not, to be informed and armed with the knowledge to prevent it from happening, or stop it.
