Lindsay Ghiloni Memorial Bench Fund

For all of us who knew and loved Lindsay, our memories with her are sprinkled throughout the world – in the streets of Europe, in caravans to music festivals, anywhere Phish has ever been, on the sand at Tod’s Point, and perhaps the most familiar, on the roads of Greenwich where she terrorized other drivers and pedestrians alike in her sticker-covered car.
Greenwich was Lindsay’s home. And for those of us who also call Greenwich home, it is clear that something is missing here since she left. And while nothing and no one could ever take Lindsay’s place, it seems right that there be a special place, unique to Lindsay alone, where we can go to visit and spend time with those memories.
It is for this reason that we are hoping to dedicate a memorial bench in town to the memory of our friend, sister, niece, daughter, Lindsay. Lindsay loved life, her family, and friends and was proud to be a Greenwich resident (no matter what she might have said in Post Road traffic).
The resilience and faith that friends and family have shown in the last year has been inspiring, admirable, and nothing short of miraculous. It is safe to say that much of our comfort and strength comes from the profound bonds in friendship and family that we developed as a result of having known Lindsay.
We were lucky to have the short time we did with Lindsay and she is never far from our hearts and minds. She wouldn’t allow it. This is a special opportunity for all of us, Lindsay’s biggest fans, to create something together in celebration of her beautiful life.
All contributions will go toward the cost of the memorial bench – the location of which is still under consideration by the town. Should we exceed our goal, all additional funds will be donated to the Lindsay Ghiloni Memorial Endowment at the Pink Ribbon Fund at Baptist Health Foundation.
We have until Sunday, May 8 to raise these funds.
