Help Dory! Citizenship and medical bills

Donation protected
In 2006 we agreed to take one year old Dory and have her medically treated for an unknown illness that was rapidly causing many of her bodily functions to stop working, and then send her back to her family in Haiti once she recuperated. After the removal of a large malignant brain tumor, she developed hydrocephalus and had to have a shunt placed in her head to drain the fluid. After several shunt failures, multiple surgeries, and months in the hospital the shunt was repaired and functioned. However she was now epileptic and needed extensive medical care. We were told she may not walk or talk, she may have extensive learning disabilities and may not function as a normal child. However anyone who knows Dory sees what God has done in her life and how He has healed her! She is an amazing little girl and we know God has an amazing plan for her. However, she would need continual medical care for the rest of her life. She could not return to Haiti because of their lack of medical care. Our insurance backed out after the first surgery stating her medical problems were preexisting. We owed over $500,000. We lost our home 2008.  We could not get help because she was not a citizen of the US and did not have a social security number. Her family allowed us to adopt her in 2010. We were told by the adoption attorney that after 2 years she would automatically become a US citizen and would get a social security number. We were also wrongly advised by an immigration attorney in Florida, that we only had to fill out a couple of forms from the Internet and send in $400.00 and she would get a social security number. We never had the funds so we held off and when Steve lost his job in January 2011 we stopped pursuing getting her citizenship. Since moving  to Missouri, we found we cannot get any kind of state medical help for her and once again we began pursue getting her social security number to get her on insurance. This time, we went straight to the immigration office in Kansas City and found out we had much more to do than what we were told initially in Florida. Long story short - we have a stack of papers to file for her and have to pay $2000.00. Her visa is no longer valid, and so we are asking for help in raising this $2000.00 in application fees for her citizenship. We are praying they do not deport her. WE NEED TO GET THIS DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
To make things worse, today we received a bill for over $10,000 from when Dory was in the hospital this past December for the flu and seizures. She was a very sick little girl. We are hoping to raise $3000.00 to pay toward her hospital bill. The hospital is working with us but we must still come up with this large sum of money as soon as possible.
We are asking for you to partner with us in Dory's life, by helping her become a US citizen, to be able to get a social security number, for us to be able to get medical insurance on her and for us to pay toward her medical expenses recently incurred.
Please prayerfully consider helping our family - helping Dory. ANY amount will help if everyone pitches in. Your generosity is so appreciated and we cannot say thank you enough! Your prayers mean more to us than anything. Partnering with us in prayer in crucial and has more power than you know, and we thank you!
We bless you all and thank you for your consideration.
