Help my Ma beat Uterine Cancer!
Loved ones,
On Tuesday January 29th 2013, my mom, Cheryl Schoenback, was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the Cervix, also classified as Cervical Cancer. Her prognosis is estimated to be half way through Stage I therefore treatable with surgery and hopefully no need for radiation or chemotherapy. On Tuesday, March 5th 2013 she will be undergoing what doctors call a Radical Hysterectomy. This will be a 3 hour surgery where the doctor will take more of the surrounding tissues.
After her recent move to Colorado from Arizona, she has landed a couple of part-time jobs to get her started as she continues to look for full-time work. Although very blessed to be employed, these positions do not allow her any medical insurance, leaving a significantly large financial burden to pay the upcoming medical bills. I know that my mother has the faith and strength to beat this and become a cancer survivor, but the stress of money chips away at her emotionally and leaves behind a physical struggle for hope.
I ask you, our friends and family, to help in whatever way you can. First and most importantly, to lift my mother up in prayer. And second, to help lighten her financial burden. I want my mom to focus on winning this battle and by lifting some of the financial pressure, it will help her to channel her energy and hope into her recovery. Help me to raise funds and minimize the doctor bills by any amount.
