Help Rocco Beat His Sickness

Hello, I know you all know how much I love Rocco. So I feel like I need to inform you all on something. Here’s how the story started beginning of June. “So the last 4 days rocco has been acting strange. Like not himself at all, lethargic, and his right half of his body seems like he has no balance or control. He keeps slipping on his right paw and he wouldn’t sit or lay down. I made him get in the sitting position and when he did his right paw and back paw started slipping on the hardwood floor like he had no control over them. So I made a vet appointment but they couldn’t get him in until June 10. Then, Friday he was getting worse and so I took him to an emergency vet clinic. I was there very late and they had to draw blood and all. Doctor told me it seems as if it is something neurological and that he has no feeling and is unaware of his right paws. They did pain tests on his right side and he didn’t feel any of them. That being said, she said it could be he ruptured something in his brain, it could be a tumor growing on his right side or he has something growing on his spine. So we need to get an MRI scan done to see what the true problem is. So he had an MRI scan yesterday morning at 9 am. (June 6) It’s just soooo much happening and I’m heartbroken for my dog and depending what the MRI says and if he’s gonna need surgery, which is thousand and thousands more, or just medication. If none of that will be helpful there’s a possibility I may have to put him down they said, if there’s no helping him. But I can’t know that until AFTER paying all of this stuff and running every test I can and I’m just so stressed. I don’t have this money and I can’t work overtime right now due to the pandemic and so I’m just sad. Just the MRI scan and the blood work was $3,200. I can see why people put their pets down even in early ages of being sick, because they can’t afford it but I WILL NOT put him down until I’ve done everything I can to save him and try. This is why I’ll start a go fund me and ask for help on FB, Friends and Family. He is only 4 years old and I’m supposed to have him until my thirties. He is my boy and this brings me great pain to even think of these things. It really sucks. So I took him home last night after work. His MRI came back and says that he has a lesion about 2cm x 2cm x 2.6 cm on his front left lobe of his brain. There’s nothing on his spine as far as they can see and almost everything else is functioning well and is “unremarkable” is the word they used on the report. So he’s in pretty healthy condition for the most part but that lesion is definitely causing neurological damage. I cry because he has a hard time coming up and down the stairs, he can’t even jump on the bed anymore. He was eating dinner last night and really is unaware of were his right side is because his front right paw was in his water bowl.... as he ate and didn’t know and it twists all over the place. So what they have to do is today (June 10) we have to go in to have him take a CFS test. Basically they have to put him under anesthesia and get a needle right below his head, on his spine to suck out fresh fluids of sort and send that in to a lab. That’ll take a few days to process and will tell us if it’s meningitis, inflammation, or cancer. But, that test itself can be dangerous because it is tapping right into the spine and there’s chances it can cause damages/death. The doctor said all of this can be caused by bacteria, a virus, genetic or even just random. . . She said just like people, some dogs just get cancers and tumors and other things. So overall this is a very difficult time for me and I just wanted to let those who love him know. It is extremely overwhelming and has gotten expensive already so I would be so grateful if you could help, ANYTHING will help. I love my dog so much and don’t want him to get worse due to not being able to afford procedures and medications. He’s only a pup still. Thank you all for even reading/listening and especially for donating.
