Hello, I am a pastor in San Carlos, CA (approximately 20 miles south of SF and 60 miles south of Santa Rosa).  We were put in touch with Pastor Albert Rodriguez and his church, which has a desire to serve all those who have been displaced by the devastating fires in Northern California.

The funds raised will go directly to the purchasing of food and supples to keep the churches kitchen producing thousands of meals in a clean and safe way over the next month.

Primera Iglesia Bautista is a community in Rohnert Park, CA who has committed to serve 600-700 meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) each day over the next 30 days to the people of Sonoma County who have been displaced by the worst wildfire in the history of the state of California.

They have decided to name this campaign P.A.N.
(Partners Assisting the Needy).  Many of the people they are looking to serve have lost their homes and everything they own.  Others have been evacuated from their homes, not been able to work and even when they return to their homes, cooking will not be an option.

Many jobs and businesses have been closed for the past week, which has left many with zero income during this time, leaving them unable to put food on their tables.

This ministry is a practical way to serve and help those in the North Bay.

In preparation to serve 18k-21k meals over the next 30 days, PAN has worked hard and harnessed resources to get their meal cost to approximatley 1.50 for each meal.

PAN has been able to partner with a local food bank which will supply them with all needed produce.

However, the propane alone will cost several hundred dollars a day. They will also have to purchase and provide all of the meat, as well as other items to supplement the meals (rice and beans, etc). We are estimating they will need over $1,000 per day to operate, and would like to help them fund this endeavor over the next 30 days, starting Monday, October 16th.

This is a great way to take the next step in supporting the North Bay after the devastation.

The funds will be withdrawn by FBC San Carlos. $2960 of what has been raised so far went toward purchasing a commercial refrigerator which is being delivered today, Wednesday October 18th. The remaining balance will be sent directly to Primera Iglesia Bautista in the form of a mailed check from FBCSC to help them offset the cost of this incredible service to their community.

1.  A Commercial Refrigerator to store the max amount of perishable goods.

2.  Porta Potties for obvious reasons.

This GoFundMe has been set up by First Baptist Church of San Carlos, we were put in touch with Primera Iglesia Bautista from their friends at Iglesia Bautista Fundamental Buenas Nuevas, who share our facilities.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
