I, Esli Espinoza, am organizing this fundraiser as a sister of Karen Judith and Karen Janette. I plan to withdraw these funds and deliver them to Karen Judith and Karen Janette directly in order for them to use on their remaining college expenses. Please Share so more people can see the story! Karen Judith and Karen Janette are twin sisters from Mesquite, Texas that recently graduated Valedictorian and Salutatorian of their class. They will be attending Texas A&M University in the Fall 2020 and major in Chemistry to later on hopefully apply to medical school and pursue a career as doctors.
Due to their pending immigration status, they have been unable to apply to most scholarships and federal financial aid. Because of this, they have not been able to receive enough aid to cover their college expenses which include tuition, housing, meals and fees. Any money received from this fundraiser will go directly towards college expenses for both Karen Judith and Karen Janette.
Throughout high school they were involved in many things including JROTC, where they were the Battalion Commander and Command Sergeant Major of their unit. They were also part of National Honor Society (secretary), National Spanish Honor Society, UIL Academics, Calculus Club (Vice-President) Dallas Promise Design Challenge, Senior Leaders and Varsity Choir. They have also committed 150+ hours to community and school service each.
