Second Annual MAPLE Marathon Fundraiser
Hello to our dear friends and supporters! MAPLE Microdevelopment is in need of your help and we are running our hearts out to support the cause! Several members of TEAM MAPLE will be running the Eugene Marathon in April in support of our efforts to alleviate poverty in Uganda. It has been an exciting year for MAPLE and we have made a lot of progress including promoting our first Ugandan born Country Director, Mr. Rogers Muduku.
Our operations are expanding in Uganda and we are looking at the potential of bringing our services to other areas in need including rural parts of Chile. Please check out our website for more specific information on MAPLE: http://maplemicrodevelopment.org/
The general overview of what we do focuses on training Ugandan citizens in rural communities to start their own businesses and create a sustainable future for their families and communities. We also help villages set up savings and loan groups so they can lend to each other rather than depending on high interest loans from outside sources that only create more poverty.
We appreciate anything you can donate but our suggested donation is $20 - if we can get 500 people to donate $20 - we will meet our goal of $10,000 and we will fund 3 more months of operations in Uganda! All of your money goes directly to assisting people in Uganda as we have an all volunteer US board and executive team.
