Our Two Hearts to make One Little Heart

Spende geschützt
As some of you are aware, ( and some not so much)  Dave (DJ) and I have been trying since we got married to have a little bundle of joy on our own. Since that journey began almost 4 years ago, each of us has had to come to terms with the fact that we are now part of the 5 million people we are infertle. Our story is a little different then most.

Our story starts off wonderful. In October 2007 we found out that we were expecting. 3 weeks later, we find out that the pregnancy was ectopic. Methotrexate shot was given to stop the growth and let my body pass the mc.  At my next appointment I was informed that our best course of action would be to look into IVF. Not wanting to go that route yet as I still had one good fallopian tube left, we decided to keep trying. A year had almost passed and we yet again found out that we were again expecting. The outcome, as much as it hurt us was the same as the last one.  Another round of a Methotrexate shot given and off we went.  At this time, because again we were urged to see an RE and start on the IVF cycle, we looked into a new doctor cause I was sooo sure that something was wrong with me that was caused this ectopic pregnancys.  Found a wonderful doctor who listened to all of our concerns and decided to run as many tests as she could.  Well it turns out.. Yep I am all ok.. Nothing is out of wack, all levels are where they should be, and tube is all clear.. No tell tale sign as to why this is happening.  This past year, we once again found out that we were expecting. This was in May and come June, the signs of yet another ectopic had started. This time it was to late to even try to save my one tube, so out it came. While under the knife, my wonderful doctor took a few pictures so that I could see exactly what it looks like inside and why IVF is now the only route for us to take.

So here we are. After looking into a very nice clinic here in NH, and finding out that the cost is very high ( average about $15,000) for one cycle, we decided to keep looking and find our best option. And we did.. Found a very nice clinic in Utah. For the same procedure for alot less and less stressful on my body, we could not of asked for a better place to start our family.

So here is the run down of what the funds raised will be used for. The money collected will go towards the remaining funds that are needed. This includes the cost of the IVF cycle, the round trip airfair, along with the hotel and rental car.  Total running just over $7,000.  We have alraedy saved up $3,000 and are in need of at least $4,000 - $4,500 more.

We really hate asking like this, but at times you need to put your pride aside and just ask for help in something that you truly want in life.
Thank you for any and all help that you may pass our way.
