Surgery For Peanut the Bunny

Hello!! I know this sounds crazy, but here it goes.. I have always been a lover of animals! As a girl growing up in Swedesboro, NJ... i always had animals from dogs, hamsters, bunnies and snakes! More recently, we bought 3 baby netherland dwarf bunnies last summer for my son to work with and join 4H to practice his social skills!
We found A brother, sister and another female. They all came home together as 8 week old babies and we named them peanut, remy and reese! Peanut, the only male (buck), started to develop a small mark in his eye when he was just 5 months old in November 2019. With a few doctor visits and medication and then the pandemic, it was decided he most likely developed a tumor in his right eye. Then another opinion said It is cancer and so on. The end result is to remove the eye by surgery which now adds on anywhere from 1400 to 2250 is the quote i got :( Now on his 1st birthday, june 9th, it was scheduled to remove the eye in hopes he survives surgery. Some people think I am crazy for doing this for him bc hes "just a bunny". To my family, he is much much more!! I simply cannot let any animal suffer! Knowing he has pressure in his eye and is in pain while he still gives me kisses , just breaks my heart. He always comes up to us wanting to us to rub his chin and then he loves to cuddle as we scratch behind his ears♡ However, I am asking for help because now my vet bill with previous bills is close to an outstanding $3,000!!! I am a part time teacher and mother of a 6 yr old boy who loves these bunnies just as much! We want to provide a chance for Peanut to live a full life and hope some of you can help us , help him! Anything will be GREATLY appreciated in his fight ♡♡!! Thank you even if you just read this story and give us prayers for peanut!♡
