Owen Needs Surgery!

Hey all! Owen started out as my foster when covid started and I adopted him after bringing him home as he quickly became my child! On 4/7/2020, one week after fostering, I officially adopted! His history from the shelter was a rough one! He was assumed to live in a crate and in 2018 showed up at the shelter at 2 years old and 25 lbs! He also had two fractures in his leg and a dislocated patella! March 2020, he found himself back in the shelter and this is when we found each other! Came home to me at 60lbs, now 73 heathy lbs! On 6/8/2020, I found out he is going to need surgery for a torn ACL! I’m heartbroken as this playful loving pup of mine is so full of spirit since I brought him home and I cannot imagine not doing everything in my power to bring his puppy spirits back to life! He LOVES to play so this is going to be a tough skill to master but I’m sure he will bounce back and be back to himself sooner than later! Sedated x-rays are set for a month from now and next stop will be a surgeon. With this comes costs that I was not prepared for but will do what is necessary to get it done so I’m asking for some assistance! Thank you to anyone who can help! I know Owen will be super appreciative and will gladly give puppy kisses to each and every one of you! I do not know the full cost yet but the vet hesitantly quoted approx $3000 for just the surgery. I have no idea what all extra expenses will arise as I have never been faced with something like this. But anything will help!
