COVID19 Relief

As a small business in a small town, it’s hard enough to get up and running then stay afloat. It usually takes a few years to get out of the red. And with 100 other cosmetologist and barbers in the area, it makes it even harder. But hey, this is what I love doing and I put my heart and soul into it. After a year I was on track to make a profit by the end of year 3 at the most. I slowly built up a steady clientele and even hired another contract stylist to work in the salon. Things were looking great for 2020. Then it happened!!! COVID19..And BAM shut down. Hey no problem the Cares Act, PPP, PUA, Unemployment, SBA loans, and all that other help to keep us small businesses was right on track to help. But then Illinois stepped in and complicated everything and denied benefits to whoever they chose not to give them to. Or just simply complicated the process to make it so time consuming or impossible to achieve. But hey I held on to hope and I even helped others along the way. Then it happened. One month went by, nothing. Then another month went by and while many others were getting there money and benefits and help they needed, I got nothing. I applied for everything possible and got no answer for anything at all. Then it finally came, determination of eligibility... DENIED!!! All because my $500 net income per month side job that I only do for insurance was still paying me even though I wasn’t working. Yes that’s right, $500 per month stopped me from getting around $800 to a $1000 a week like all these other people out there. So I did everything I could to keep things going and I, all on my own and my trusty Bank account and Chase Credit card kept the bills paid so the shop could open back up. Well we are opened back up and doing our best to keep it going but now while other big corporations are getting bailed out, paycheck protection, loan forgiveness and even grants that don’t need to be paid back, I have credit cards to pay off. I am only asking for help because i don’t want to lose my business like many others. I hate asking for help because I very proud. I need to ask for help because Pritzker and COVID19 put me in an un winnable situation without it. If anyone is willing to help, it is greatly appreciated. If you cannot, I completely understand. All proceeds will go to ensure the ongoing success of Studio-D & D’z Kut’z and any other locally owned small businesses in need to stay open. This is a community small business angel fund. I want to pay it forward to all those businesses that need a little boost to keep moving forward. For all of us that had to push our way through without any help, without the money and without the assistance. When you donate to my cause you are donating to the heart of our country. The Small Business at the Center of every Small Town. Thank You And May God Bless Each And Every One Of You In Every Way That You Need Him.
