Poor Families In Afghanistan

A change must happen. Families that are clinging onto life. Please, before you invest in something excessively expensive, think about the basic needs that would be provided for families who sleep on rocks. Mothers that sacrifice their own dietary needs so their children can survive. Humanitarian aid is NOT a gift, it’s acts of justice. These families fear, not only that a bomb will strike at any minute, but also death/death of loved ones due to malnutrition. Mortality rates are extremely high. Afghanistan needs you. Even the smallest of donation can severely impact a life there. From aryanaaid.org.uk: “36% of the population, or about 9 million people, lives in absolute, extreme poverty and another 37% lives just above the determined poverty line even though around $35 billion was put into the country from 2002-2009. In fact, the number one killer in Afghanistan is not armed conflict.it is poverty.” The media attention Afghanistan receives is not even nearly enough to account for the innocent lives taken on a daily basis. The community must get involved to make a difference.
