21 in 21

A running initiative to promote and link the importance of physical and mental wellbeing, whilst sharing lived experiences and what it means to be mentally healthy.


In the year 2021 I will be running 2100km, completing 21 half marathons (21km each) within the total amount. My financial goal is to raise $21,000 to be distributed to Mental Health Support in Australia. I will be working with a number of charities over the year and these fund will be divided out evenly over the 12 months of the year. 

Why Am I Doing This?
 

Breaking down the stigma of mental Illness, the power of resilience and empowering others is very close to my heart and something that I want to promote. Each year we learn more and more about the effects and toll taken on the community from mental illness, therefore we must raise awareness for available programs, resources and support networks to aid people in need. 
 
I'm a strong believer in promoting the importance of physical wellbeing and it's links to mental wellbeing. Exercise allows me personally to self reflect and become self aware of my current anxieties and struggles and I aim to create a sense of community to encourage others to do so. 

These raised funds will be distributed to organisations that are actively facilitating mental health support in Australia. I want actionable outcomes from every cent raised and want there to be at minimum the conversation to start around everyones mental wellbeing.
