We’re looking for 21 generous patrons to support an innovative programme, Science & Wisdom LIVE, which will address some of society’s biggest challenges.
Could this be you?
Science & Wisdom LIVE builds bridges between scientific researchers and contemplative practitioners. We aspire to address society’s biggest challenges and catalyse personal and collective growth. We endeavour to forge new connections and promote dialogue across all faiths and scientific disciplines.
But we can’t do this without your help!
In spite of the growing number of people who benefit from meditation and mindfulness practices, the dialogue between researchers and practitioners is limited, increasing the divide between science and the contemplative traditions. Because of this polarisation, many people struggle to reconcile their inner practice and experience with evidence-based understanding informed by scientific research.
This is why we are looking for 21 people who are willing and able to make a donation of £1000 to help kickstart Science & Wisdom LIVE by covering our operating costs for 2021.

Science & Wisdom LIVE's goals:
- to bring scientists and contemplative practitioners of all faiths together.
- to address issues such as social justice, climate change and the environmental crisis, the benefits of mindfulness and meditation for mental health, and the ethics of artificial intelligence.
- to reach out especially (but not only) to the younger generations, who hold the key to our future collective flourishing.
We'll do this by:
- providing monthly talks and interviews, two major dialogues in early summer and fall, and a series of workshops in partnership with Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London - all focused on increasing mental and physical resilience in the time of Covid-19.
- collaborating with colleges and universities.
- disseminating new ideas through our social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- ensuring that all our events are freely available on our Podcast and YouTube channels!
