Colombia Missions Trip 2013

The Lord has been stirring my heart about going to the nations to share the gospel for almost 2 years. I have been extremely passionate about the lost and the broken since the moment the Lord captured my heart with His love! My one desire is to do the work of His kingdom. My name is Alise Alves and I am currently a student at Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As I am studying the Word, and being thoroughly trained and equipped to do His work, this passion for reaching the lost grows even more. Recently I was approached by a Rhema student who is part of a ministry called One Church Network to join the team for a missions trip to Bogota, Colombia, from the dates of August 1, through August 11, 2013. The things the Lord has been speaking to me, the prophetic words, and the dreams and passions of my heart immediately were stirred within me, and I instantly knew this was the trip for me.

 

During this trip we will be ministering to children and teens in rehabilitation centers, doing dramas in schools and evangelizing in the poor communities of Bogota by giving them food, school utensils and sharing the gospel with them.  We will be going into injured soldier care centers, offering them a meal and praying with them. We will also be reaching out to churches, teaching and empowering them to reach the people around them. I believe God has opened this door for me not only to reach the people in Colombia, but also to prepare me for the future. This opportunity will not only change the lives of the people of Colombia for eternity, but I believe I will grow immensely and my own life will be changed forever.
