McDonald Home Flood Relief
Donation protected
Due to the broken dams on Wixom lake, my grandfather lost the home and family cottage he built and worked his whole life for. Both my grandfather Robert and late grandmother Carol McDonald were know for their hospitality; from homemade biscuits and gravy breakfasts, boat rides and taking the family out on the lake, fireworks on the 4th July, to simply just being welcoming to anyone who came up to visit. This includes all of our family and friends who were always welcomed no matter what. Over the past 40+ years, they have welcomed hundreds of people to their home. Unfortunately this same time last year my grandmother Carol lost her life. The only thing my grandfather has left of her is his home, that is now destroyed. He would like to repair and rebuild as much as possible however due to the unexpected nature of these dams breaking my papa insurances doesn’t cover the amount to get the funds to do what he needs to make this property livable let alone cover the clean up costs. If you or anyone you know could donate to help make his house a home again it would be greatly appreciated by the entire family. Anything helps and God Bless!
