DJ's have dedicated their time and shared their passion with you over the years, bringing energy and unforgettable experiences through milestones throughout our lives. During this unexpected time due to COVID-19 DJ's livelihood took an unexpected turn that has left many struggling to find ways to make ends meet. The reality is, the majority of professional DJ's do not have have reasonable unemployment options, health insurance, or emergency savings.
Together we can assist our DJs during this crisis.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, and every dollar goes a long way. We will be able to provide DJs who have met strict criteria with meaningful financial relief to help get them through the year.
Professional DJ’s put 100% of their love and passion into their craft. They're the ones who make your wedding memorable. They're the ones who add exponential value to important work conferences. They're the ones who help you celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and homecomings.
But for the foreseeable future, they won’t be able to do any of this, and therefore have no way to support their families.
Speaking to my peers, I've learned that many are struggling with medical bills, children's tuition, car payments, rent/mortgage, etc. Hopelessness and mental health stresses have burdened many of us.
The initial wave of funds will be allocated to those DJs whose needs are time-sensitive, medical bills and housing payments being prioritized. A small amount will be allocated for promotion to spread the word of the campaign.
My name is Manny Llanes and I am a professional full time DJ. Like many others, I provide for my family by DJing weddings, corporate events, and cruise ships. Since the shut down in March 2020, I have been blessed to be hired for weekly paid streaming events. Unfortunately, most full-time DJs have not been so lucky, join me in my efforts to help support my DJ family.
