I am a 34 year old male, homeless and disabled. For the past 20 years, I have suffered epileptic seizures. On January 1, I was shot three times, defending my sister in a domestic violence dispute. Doctors insist that because of nerve damage in my left hand, I will need long term occupational therapy and won’t use it like normal ever again. I am awaiting a decision on medical disability, panhandling and hustling here and there to get by.
I have a 14 year old daughter who is my heart. For the better part of her adolescence I was absent, serving a total 9 year sentence for trying to survive. Upon release in 2019, I reconnected with my child. We are best friends. I am making up for lost time. With your help, I can throw my baby girl a birthday party and rekindle the thing most important to me.
I am under no illusions. I need housing. I need a place to live and shelter for me and my daughter. In the short term, material support in the form of cash assistance is key. But, I am open to connections that might secure I got a baby and got to send my child $25.00 a week and I am still homeless thank you and god bless
