Twice in a lifetime opportunity!
In 2005 I had the great “once in a lifetime” opportunity to march in the New Years Tournament of Roses Parade.
This year, there will be a “Saluting America’s Band Directors” project where 300 band directors from across the country will be marching in the Jan 1, 2022 parade.
So of course I applied and found out yesterday that I was accepted!
As you can imagine, this trip is not free. I’ve already paid the deposit of $200 and an additional $2,000 give or take will be due within the next few months.
Please consider donating. Any amount will help! Some of the funds will be use for the stay, to build the float in the parade, and also to go towards the Michael D. Sewell foundation that helps advocate for music education across the country.
