PROJECT AFRICA: LA

Project Africa: LA was established in 2015 with the mission of bridging the gap between African Americans, the diaspora, and the culture, peoples, and artistry of Africa. As artists, socio-cultural life experiences really help to influence, shape, and expand our work. In addition to the great impact global experiences have on our art, we can also become better global citizens through various contributions to the communities we visit.
After traveling to Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, and Nigeria, PALA is excited to journey to Ethiopia for our 2020 Vision Voyage to Africa. We want to continue inspiring artists to expand their consciousness and delve deeper into cultural connections to the motherland. #2020VisionVoyage
PALA also provides a platform for artists to perform on the many concerts and events hosted while stateside. As we promote awareness of our mission, we strive to provide performance opportunities for both established and aspiring artists, giving the community worthwhile and positive musical, artistic, cultural experiences.
Your appreciated contributions go to help our artists get to the Motherland, fostering an interpersonal relationship between African people all over the globe. The $5000 goal is set to provide $1000 stipends to 5 travelers assisting with expenses including the following:
