2020 Trip to Cambodia-Heart Mothers

Hi, I'm Denise Sims, Vice President of Heart Mothers, a 501C3 non-profit organization. (heartmothers.net). We are a group of ladies who write monthly, send gifts and supplies, and raise money for a group of rescued child survivors of sex trafficking in Cambodia, ranging from one to eighteen years old. We also provide love and emotional support by reaching out monthly. We work with AFESIP under the direction of the amazing Somaly Mam, rescuer of these incredible girls.
We travel to Cambodia once a year, bringing the girls the love of their Heart Mothers and luggage full of supplies and gifts (please see how much we can fit in our luggage from the photo below!) We spend our time there getting to know them, making crafts and gathering information for their Heart Mothers.
As we are not paid (ALL our proceeds go directly to the girls) traveling there is a big expense so we are asking for help with traveling expenses. Any amount of money that is donated will be used for traveling expenses and then for supplies for the girls.
Six of us plan on travelling towards the beginning of March.
For the girls' privacy and protection we are not able to post their photo's, but they are brave, sweet and lovely despite what they've been through. Under the direction of Somaly at the AFESIP center the girls receive their education, life skills and confidence that will carry them throughout their lives, which will spread all through Cambodia.
