Boots 2 Tumor Project!

This is Kerigan Boswell, The saying that follows her is "BOOTS 2 TUMOR!!! WE GOT THIS!!!" In September 2012, Kerigan Boswell, 17, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in her left frontal lobe. The treatment bills are gargantuan. The "goal amount" is no where near the total needed, however it will touch $123,000 that has already been acquired. It has been estimated that the cost of various therapies, a pediatric craniotomy, medicine, radiology is $450,000. It is insane... Kerigan sat down with us and asked-If I have this, that means other people have it, which means other parents feel the same as you- God is not a respecter of people. If we have been chosen to carry this burden then we have to do something. YES WE DO! What the devil means for harm God DOES turn for good! God will provide exactly what we need.
Boots 2 Tumor-One cannot do everything BUT someone can do something...

Kerigan started her journey with a blown knee in  April, May she had surgery which after months of going back and forth to the Dr and monstrosity series of test the conclusion was a lesion in the left frontal lobe, inferior and middle gyrus, subcortical in location it involves both the white and grey matter, with mild mass effect. Currently, it is too much of a risk to open her up. The next MRI is March 4th 2013. This will decide if surgery is a "have to"...

I have learned, " Life doesn't stop, rent/mortgages don't stop, utilities don't stop, bills they don't stop-however when your child is sick or there is a medical crisis, life as you know it DOES STOP and as a parent you pour every ounce of your being into the well fare of your child!" The last thing one needs hanging over their head while in treatment or in the hospital is an eviction notice, a bill collector, or shut off of  utilites- this burdens me... true story.

Sometimes treatment goes on for years, so we have been told. The only comfort we get is knowing we serve an awesome God-

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

There are families who just like us want life to go back. Nevertheless, if we went back we would never know the struggles these families face. We have been chosen to walk in their shoes beside them in this "new normal". Out of love for my child I will help her, out of obedience to my Father I will obey, and walk in faith, having done all we know to do we stand-. Our armor is on and we choose to fight with our boots on!

First: we want to raise the awareness of the GREY, IT MATTERS!
Second: there needs to just be more research and optimal      equipment in smaller cities.
Third: We need resources, yes for Kerigan Boswell, but for others, just this week there have been multiple request of people just like us, walking it out just like us.

Kerigan asked what do we do? I told her a special friend once told me,"If God can get it to me, He can get it through me!"  I promised Kerigan I would be that someone to fight, you have to feed them before you can teach them to fish or in their case walk the "new normal".  God did not call the qualified but He qualifies the call.  Boots 2 Tumor is not a foundation yet, however it aspires to be. WE have had chili supper silent auction (raised $2,300), pancake feed ($200), pumpkin roll sale ($1500) which was gone before it barely touched the hands-an echo cardiogram was $3000 prepay, and MRI $10,000, those are multiple.

Now it just time to ask for help on another level...

Patton Alley Pub, Springfield MO writes about Ker: "Tag Magazine and Patton Alley have joined forces to help raise awareness about Kerigan and her family. Lets come together and help this family get their daughter the help that she needs. At only 17, she is more worried about starting a charity to help others with similar problems than she is worried about herself. She is strong, caring and more wise than her years give her credit."

Please read Exodus 17:12 In watching the battle,
When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

He will send help in time of need... God is not a respecter of people what He has done for the multitudes He will do for us--Calling on the Aaron's of this time for Kerigan, us and Boots 2 Tumor. Thank you in advance.
