CIL-Con is a paranormal, horror, anime, and gaming convention located in Mattoon, Illinois. It is the mission of the CIL-Con committee to provide an affordable and excited "comic con" type experience for the community to enjoy. CIL-Con is FREE for the community to enjoy and it is our goal to keep it that way! We want families to be able to enjoy a fun filled weekend together without having to spend a fortune.
All money raised by this GoFundMe will be used to secure even more guests and entertainment. This event is 100% funded by donations, sponsorships, and fees obtained from vendor booth sales. The Committee is made of dedicated volunteers.
Our History
CIL-Con was originally called Central Illinois Paracon. The paracon ran from 2010-2015 and featured local paranormal and horror groups. In 2016 we founded the CIL-Con committee and expanded into the current set up. We moved to the Cross County Mall and have grown bigger and better every year!
