2019 Nepal Nursing Fundraiser

Dear friends and family, we have all been fortunate enough to have been selected to travel to Pokhara, Nepal for 3 weeks international nursing placement where we will be immersed in a diverse culture and health care system.
This opportunity will be an unforgettable and invaluable learning experience that is going to provide us with the skills and knowledge that we will carry forward with us throughout our entire nursing career. We will be spending our three weeks placement in the local Fishtail Hospital and outreach health programs in the surrounding mountain villages; as well as contributing to local nonprofit organisations. Unfortunately, Nepal does not have the health care system as we do in Australia.
The Fishtail Hospital lacks the much-needed resources required to provide their patients and the local community with optimal health outcomes and ultimately save lives. All donations will be used to purchase much needed medical supplies and equipment for the Fishtail Hospital.
No money raised will be spent on student activities. Any donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated by all students and will have a positive impact on the local Pokhara community. All students would like to thank you for your donations and assistance in providing a difference to this community in Nepal.
Previous donations and contributions from CQUniversity students have purchased ECG machines, vaccination fridges, wheelchairs, plaster cutters and provided tertiary educations scholarships for Nepalese and Tibetan refugees to study at Pokhara University and Fishtail Nursing College.
