9th Annual Loving Me Girls Conference

Since 1881, Spelman College has attracted, educated, and nurtured women who change the world. As one of the leading academic centers within the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) system, Spelman has maintained its mission of producing African-American women willing and able to exact change in the world. The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC), Washington, DC Metropolitan Chapter, believes that this change starts at home.  We seek opportunities to influence our community in ways that cultivate the high moral standards, academic achievement, and emotional wholeness encouraged in our own lives.

The Loving Me Girls Conference is the signature event of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College. This FREE one-day conference seeks to empower, inspire, and educate girls in grades 8-12. It features interactive workshops, team building activities and empowerment panels. The 2019 theme is Passing the Torch: Activism & Advocacy in the Next Generation.
