2019 LMU Sigma Chi Derby Days

Donation protected
Derby Days is the week long philanthropy event that the men of Sigma Chi host each spring.  The three great aims of our fraternity are Friendship, Justice and Learning.  As such, the Iota Omega Chapter of Sigma Chi at LMU donates proceeds raised to three organizations in accordance with these three great aims.

For Friendship, money is donated to our national philanthropy, the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, which is very proud to be at the forefront of the fight to end cancer.

For Learning, proceeds are donated to the Herbert Darling Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Herbert Darling was a Sigma Chi that attended LMU and died tragically in 2006.

Finally, In accordance with Justice, and as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a large amount of proceeds are donated to the Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, which provides support and services for anyone affected by the horrors of sexual assault.

Derby Days is the longest running philanthropy event on LMU’s campus and strives to raise sufficient funds to aid the associations we support.

Please help us reach our goal of $25,000 for these fantastic organizations!
