2019 Iron Dog/Team Wounded Warrior

Charlie Potter, U.S. Army (Ret) and  Scott Munn (Active Duty Air Force) have teamed up to race the 2019 Iron Dog-The worlds longest and toughest snow machine race. Their mission is to raise awareness and help reduce the number of men and women with PTSD (post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and T.B.I. (traumatic Brain Injuries) who have served our great nation.  22 veterans are taking their lives every day nationwide and this is not acceptable.  Let's help the ones who have helped keep us free and safe.  Team Wounded Warrior is racing to show that no matter how deep down you want to quit, you have to keep moving forward.  Our greatest casualties often go unnoticed but shall never be forgotten.  Alaska suffers from these issues due to the large number of rural villages and towns across the state.  The lack of resources to help veterans in these areas is unacceptable.  Team Wounded Warrior believes that through outdoor recreation they can encourage and inspire veterans that are struggling.  This team has already partnered with multiple veteran organizations to make this costly mission a reality. The average cost per team to race in the Iron Dog is $30,000 to $40,000. With YOUR help, Team Wounded Warrior will be able to make this mission possible and show proper awareness along the 2,031 mile snow machine race through Alaska's toughest terrain.  Come join Team #22/Wounded Warrior in helping vets become noticed.  A thank you will never be great enough.
