2019 Special Olympics season

Our Gym Stars athletes are children with intellectual and physical disabilities all around the Indianapolis area. These athletes enjoy rhythmic gymnastics activities, taught by coaches with backgrounds in working with children with disabilities. Our Gym Stars will perform in exhibition at our home meet Flip 4 A Cause on February 2-3, 2019 at the Indiana Convention Center.  While this is a major fundraiser for the team, only a portion of the program's annual costs are raised at the meet.  Additional funds for equipment, uniforms, scholarships, and meet fees are needed for our organization.  Our Gym Stars program is a recognized member of the national Special Olympics Gymnastics program, and are also registered United States Artistic Gymnastics HUGS (Help Us Grow Successfully) athletes.

On a personal note, my daughter Georgie has participated in this program since its inception two years ago.  For those who know her, she faces several physical challenges.  Her participation in the Gym Stars program has allowed her to improve her balance and coordination, as well as given her plenty of self-confidence.  It is a privilege and pleasure to watch her teammates grow and develop their skills as well.
