Surgical Mission Trip: Peralta 2019

We are actively fundraising to support a six day surgical mission trip to provide care to the underserved community in Azua, Dominica Republic.  The trip will include orthopaedic residents, attending surgeons, and an internists and is only possible through the volunteer efforts and donations of our supporters!

Founded in 2014, with the tireless effort of a Rush orthopaedic surgical resident, William Slikker, we have continued to seek donations for all of the needed supplies and implants so that we can maximize the impact of our journey.  Last year we performed 28 procedures.  Residents who have gone on the trip in the past say it was a highlight of residency.

We are planning on returning this year with 5 residents, and are raising funds to help finance the travel expenses.  Any amount would be greatly appreciated in order to decrease the financial burden that the residents would otherwise have to pay.

We greatly appreciate any and all support.  Your generosity is invaluable, and allows the residents to participate in the trip to help those who otherwise would not have had access to health care.
