We would like to welcome you to the second year of The Virginia Beach Skimmunity Showdown being held June 9th & 10th. Our 2017 event was a great success with over 100 competitors, 250 spectators and 15 sponsors and Little Island Park in Sandbridge has welcomed us back. The Hampton Roads area has a huge population of skimboarders from the very young to the very seasoned, and we are proud to host a second year of the competition. The Skimmunity Showdown is a stop on the nationally recognized Skim USA tour, Skim USA is a youth based, non-profit organization that runs skimboarding competitions along the East Coast, these competitions draw amateur and professional skimboarders from all over the world. Skim USA also awards scholarships to deserving students and sponsors a team of amatuer athletes for travel. The organizers of The Skimmunity Showdown are also working on making our competition a stop on the UST world tour. We are beyond excited to be given the opportunity to make this event happen again, but we need your help to realize our dream. With your help, together we can make this dream a reality!
Sponsorship levels
Godzooky- All contributors will be recognized at the event by being listed on our scoreboard. Any donation, no matter how large or small is one step closer to our goal!
Mothra- All donations of $50 or more will be rewarded with a commemorative competition cup, along with recognition on our scoreboard at the event.
Megalon- All donations of $100 or more will be communicated on the contest T-shirt, as well as recognition on any social media. This level of donation also comes with the commemorative competition cup and recognition on our scoreboard at the event.
Destroyah- Those donating $250 or more will be provided space to hang a banner on our staging during the contest as well as multiple acknowledgments by our MC during the competition. This donation level also comes with recognition on paid social media advertising, the commemorative contest cup and recognition on our scoreboard at the event.
King Kong- Those donating $500 or more will be provided space to set up a 10'X10' tent at the site for sampling, advertising or sales, as well as being listed as a major contributor on our contest T-shirt. This level of donation also comes with multiple acknowledgments by our MC during the competition, recognition on paid social media advertising, the commemorative contest cup and recognition on our scoreboard at the event.
Godzilla- Those donating $1,000 or more will be named as a sponsor for the professional prize purse. These contributors will also be listed on our contest banner and named in any media opportunities. These donors will also be provided space to set up a 10'X10' tent at the site for sampling, advertising or sales, as well as being listed as a major contributor on our contest T-shirt. This level of donation also comes with multiple acknowledgments by our MC during the competition, recognition on paid social media advertising, the commemorative contest cup, and being recognized on our scoreboard at the event.
