2018 Taekwondo World Championships

Hi everyone, I am Abigail Wong. I have earned the privilege to be selected on the Australian National team to compete at the World Championships for Poomsae in Taipei, Taiwan from the 15th-18th of November, 2018.

Recently, my club went to compete at the national championships in Bendigo. This event included the selection for the Australian National team. The best athletes around Australia contested in their respected division earning their spot on the team.  I , myself have earned a spot to contest in the 15-17 Junior Individual Female Division.

However, considering the prestige of this event, the competition including flights, accommodation, uniforms and entry fee is all self-funded by the athlete themselves with costs being considerably high especially for emerging athletes such as myself.  Also, I do not want my coaches and family who have always supported me towards my dream to be disappointed not being able to compete at the World Championships which my coaches and I have worked so hard for. Thus, it would be within both my honour and privilege to ask of you to kindly assist with monetary support to help me with my dreams to represent Australia at the World Championships!
