My Judo Dream

My name is Philip Horiuchi and I am a self-funded athlete representing the United States in the sport of Judo. I have been competing in Judo since I was 5 years old. I have accomplished winning the State, Jr National and Junior Olympic titles, and I am currently ranked #3 in the country for my weight category.


I was recently qualified to compete in two prestigious Pan American Open tournaments that are coming up in the month of March in Peru and Argentina. This is a major stepping-stone for my goals of qualifying for the 2020 Olympic games, as I must compete in international tournaments around the world in order to collect points. Once I have enough points  I will be eligible to qulaify for Team USA.


These tournament expenses take a huge financial toll on my life, as I am currently working part time and training full time. With your help, my dream in qualifying for Team USA can become a reality.


How you can help:

I will be staying in the host countries for a total of 3 weeks. I will need help with the food, boarding and  tournament registration expenses.
Roughly a total of $2K.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
