2018 Haiti Trip!

Donation protected
Since our first trip to Haiti, it’s been clear the struggles these people face day-in-and-day-out and that there will always be something we can do to help. We’ve made it our mission to return each year, bringing with us everything we possibly can, and dedicating our time and energy to help this group of grateful individuals in whichever way possible.

The village we’ve come to know so well over the years is located west of Port-au-Prince, three hours up the coastline and past the mountains. There sits an orphanage named Kay Mari that houses roughly 35 children and their seven caretakers. To the rest of the village, these children are the ones who have hit the jack-pot since they never have to worry about being fed, clothed or sheltered.

An organization named Haiti180 is at the heart of this orphanage, and each year they make it possible for us to return. Founded in 2002, their mission is to create a self-sustaining environment for these children so they may one day become the educators, medical professionals and governing officials of Haiti.

The endless support we’ve received over the years, in both financial and material donations, has been what makes continuing this journey possible. We’re overjoyed every year with the number of suitcases stuffed to the brim we’re able to bring along with us, as well as the financial support we’re able to contribute. This year, our trip is set for September and we’re working hard to collect the funds necessary for the trip as well as clothing, non-perishable food items, toiletries, and so much more.

We ask you to help us help the children of Kay Mari and the members of the surrounding village in whatever way you’re able to! Any donation amount is appreciated and will help us get to Haiti. If you’re interested in giving material donations, we’re located in Jacksonville, FL and can be reached via email at [email redacted]. If you’re unable to give, a share on social media could be just as helpful.

Thank you all in advance for your generosity! It makes so much more of a difference than you know.
