We are raising money as part of our first annual campaign for the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron #725. Our group is composed entirely of current and past members of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State (BBS) Staff and all of us attended that program. We're now working to pass on that opportunity to the next generation of young men from Ohio, in hopes that it will have the same positive impact on their lives.
We are already sponsoring 10 young men to the 2018 program and this fundraiser will be the core of our funding for our 2019 sponsorship goal of sending at least 30 young men. We focus especially on schools that have not previously or recently been represented at our program to try and boost the diversity of perspectives among the attendees and to offer these opportunities to students who would otherwise be left out.
Each high school junior we sponsor has a registration fee of $300.00 if we meet our goal we will also be able to provide transportation to the program for those who need it and give each a little spending cash.
For those who are not familiar, BBS is a week long, hands on, government and leadership development opportunity for students who have just completed their junior year in high school.

Every donation towards our goal is appreciated, those who find it appropriate to donate a full sponsorship ($300.00) will be recognized on our website and in communications as sponsors and can expect to be kept updated on the experience of the young man their generous contribution supports at next years program!
This campaign will run through December of this year, by which time we hope to have reached our goal.
