The 9th Annual Greatest Investment Girls' Empowerment Summer Camp ("TGI") requests your support to educate and empower our next generation of strong, confident and fierce female leaders!
Since 2010, TGI has created amazing experiences, powerful connections and life-changing workshops for over 250 at-risk teen girls in the Orlando community.
By investing in TGI you are truly making a difference in the lives of our future female leaders and your investment in our young ladies is positively changing families and communities in Central Florida.
For too many families, paying for a summer camp is simply unaffordable. Too many of our teen girls spend their entire summer doing nothing of value. TGI Summer Camp is a unique summer camp exeprience that prepares our young ladies to achieve academic, personal and professional success now and continued into their future.
TGI Summer Camp work with mentors and facilitators to present workshops and activities focused on positively shaping our girls’ self-esteem and character, developing their interpersonal skills, and exposing them to life skills such as college planning, academic success, health and nutrition, etiquette, dress for success, financial literacy and goal-setting. Our young ladies attend exciting and inspiring field trips througout the State of Florida.
Our future leaders are committed to community service and spend one day each week during the camp learning about a community need and volunteering with an organization to help address the need. In addition, TGI coordinates opportunities for our young ladies to shadow professionals in their interested careers to gain real hands-on experience from female professionals.
One of the major highlights of the summer camp is our Annual College Tour. For many of our participants, this is their first opportunity to step foot on a college campus! TGI currently has 42 students in college, with 27 of our students being the first in their families to attend college! We aim to help more young ladies attend college with your support.
In addition to the summer camp, TGI hosts monthly activities throughout the school year focused on academic success, personal development and community service.
Please support TGI's GoFundme campaign for the 9th Annual TGI Summer Camp as we seek to invest in the lives of more at-risk young ladies (12 years old to 18 years old) in Central Florida. We are also raising funds to support programs and needs for our college students.
Please consider sponsoring a TGI future leader (or more). The cost to sponsor each TGI young lady is $500. No amount is too little or too large.
