2013 Run Coast 2 Coast - SF to Boston

Hello everyone. In 2011, I ran from across the USA from California to Florida to raise funding and awareness for two childhood friends who suffer from a rare brain disease called Batten Disease. After 4 months, 10 pairs of shoes, 70 interviews, and meeting with dozens of Batten families, I completed the 2,500 mile cross country trek.
In Late July 2013, I start another Run across America from San Francisco to Boston to continue raising Batten awareness and meeting with families. I will be mentioning other Rare Diseases and blogging daily from the road. 1 in 10 Americans has a Rare Disease. For the second Run, I also have a second personal cause. Introducing 20K Watts, 20K Watts is an international nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the current and future quality of life of children, and their families, living in extreme poverty through the use of solar and wind energies. 20k Watts seeks to power community development projects that promote children's education, clean water and sanitation, health, economic development, food security, and eliminate household kerosene consumption.
I will also be speaking at schools along my route to make an impact on the youth and students. I will be between eating between 5,000 to 9,000 calories daily to fuel my body for the 3,100 mile Run which will take me through 9 mountain ranges, 3 deserts, and 14 states. It will take approx. 90-100 days to run approx. 90-95 ultra-marathons (33 miles a day).
I appreciate any contribution. I am looking to cover the basic necessities of lodging, food, gear, shoes, and misc. I am in a prime position to make a positive impact on many lives. Will be updating from the road on blog, Twitter, Facebook, etc. as I run across the USA again. Thanks!
