200km In February for Prostate Cancer
We find ourselves in very strange times, in the middle (well, hopefully near the end) of a global pandemic....my football season has been suspended until further notice, with no date set for a return, so I thought I’d embark on a very tough challenge to keep myself fit and target myself with covering 200km in the month of February....Whether this be Run/Walk, I will be out most evenings to hit this target to help me stay fit, and also raise awareness for a very special charity.
I am raising money for Prostate Cancer, I am choosing this charity because without going into too much detail, this is currently having serious effects on close family.
I know times are tough and money is not as easy to spare, but I would really appreciate any small fee that you could kindly donate.
I plan to raise as much money/awareness to give generously to this fantastic charity that is doing a fantastic job at helping raise awareness of this type of cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 129 men every day.
Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 11,000 men every year.
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Around 400,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer.
Unfortunately we will all know someone affected – a brother, son, father, grandfather, husband, partner or friend
I do hope you can help me raise as much money as possible.
Love
Bayst
