2 Time Breast Cancer Survivor

This is my Aunt Kim, she is 52 years old and has survived a second battle with BREAST CANCER! Her first battle was 21 YEARS AGO when she was 31 years old (in her right breast) She SURVIVED!!! Then in the summer of 2015 she was rediagnosed with BREAST CANCER in her left breast. This time though it was different because she was also told she was HER2-positive. This is a cancer that tests positive for a protein called human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), this promotes the growth of the cancer cells. The protein has made it to where not only did she have to do the chemo treatments, but she also had to do another year of treatment to help fight this protein she had. She has survived the chemo treatments yet again and the protein treatments as well and has come out on top yet again. She is a strong SURVIVOR, but the hardest part has been the surgeries she has had to go through. The surgeries have been so hard on her body and the doctors have done a horrible job and they do not care at all. If you all know my aunt, you know her nickname was Double D for a reason lol. So when she went in, she decided to have them completely take the left breast like she did to the right breast during her first battle, but she also wanted this time to have a full breast reduction as well.  The first surgery was 14 hours long due to removal, reduction and reconstruction of the breast where they also took her latissimus back muscle to help build up her breast. During recovery from this 14 hour surgery she developed a blood clot and had to go back into surgery. During recovery she was in so much pain, even afterwords. After she healed, she then had to have a second surgery because the implant had moved to the middle of her chest and got infected. Again she had a very painful recovery and the results after healing were just not acceptable. Her breast are very uneven, one is higher then the other, she was not reduced to the size she wanted, and to top it off the doctors think this is okay. She has SURVIVED BREAST CANCER 2 TIMES!!! For what? To be treated like this? To not feel comfortable in her body because these doctors do not want to give her nice breast? Each surgery after her first, she has had to pay and she is having to pay again. She wants to be confident in her body and she deserves that after what she has been through. So my family and I are asking for help, help us help my aunt pay for her THIRD surgery. Help us give my aunt what she needs to be comfortable and confident her body. Anything helps and we all apreciate it and are very thankful for whatever we can raise. We are hoping to have the funds by the end of May, she had to cancel the appointment this month due to the lack of funds. Again, thank you all!
